As the UCLA Bruins get set to transition over to the Big-10 conference next season, they are in for some changes. Gone are the days of playing in a weaker conference, as now UCLA will be facing off against some of the best teams in the country every single year.

With these changes coming up, it's an exciting time for the Bruins program, and it should impact how they do things in Pasadena. The move should help different aspects of the program, including recruitment and the Bruin players having a bigger platform to showcase their skills.

Head coach Chip Kelly spoke about this and how he is excited about the move next season.

"You're playing on CBS, NBC (and) FOX. You're not going to play a game later than 8 o'clock on the East Coast because of the time slots that the Big Ten has," Kelly said, via Bruin Report Online. "So their exposer to be shown to more of the country is a positive. ... I think the kids in California are excited about playing in that. You get to play at a Michigan, or at a Penn State, or at an Ohio State or a Wisconsin."

The Bruins will be able to sell their players and any potential recruits on playing in some of the biggest college football games while also calling Southern California home. That is a major perk and one that will likely see them getting some strong draft classes in the coming years.

The Bruins playing prime-time games against the likes of Michigan or Ohio State changes everything for this program, as it gives them a sense of relevancy. The days of playing in the weak Pac-12 are over after this year, and the Bruins are looking forward to it.

UCLA has been a sleeping giant in college football for years, but now they have the chance to change that. This move opens so many doors for the program, and now it's up to them to reach out to grab it.
