As the UCLA Bruins gear up for the significant 2023 season, they face a fresh start with new faces taking on new roles. However, their ultimate goal remains unchanged - to be among the best in the Pac-12 and contend for a spot in the championship game.

Although achieving this will require a stroke of luck, it is not an impossible feat. The team boasts a roster of talented players for the 2023 season and is fully focused on securing the best possible class for the 2024 season, especially as they transition from the Pac-12 to the Big 10.

While their 2024 class might not be fully formed yet, there are already some promising players in the mix. The BRO staff from Bruins Report Online ranked the Bruins top 10 recruits as of July, and offensive lineman Mark Schroller took the top spot again.

1. MARK SCHROLLER, OFFENSIVE TACKLE (LAST: 1)

Mission Viejo (Calif.) offensive tackle Mark Schroller is a Bruin legacy- his dad played for the Bruins and his mom is an alum. So UCLA was in his blood and why his recruitment was relatively short from the time the Bruins offered till when he committed. A long, athletic prospect with tremendous upside, and a pure left tackle, Schroller is UCLA’s best offensive lineman get to date.

His prowess on the field has caught the attention of the Bruin staff, making him a highly sought-after prospect. Following close behind is tight end Rob Booker, a three-star recruit from Wisconsin, who committed late in June. His addition brings valuable skills to the team's offense.

Rounding out the top three commits is Marquise Thorpe-Taylor, an offensive lineman hailing from Tacoma, Washington. Despite being a three-star recruit, he has showcased remarkable talent and currently ranks as the ninth-best player in his state.

As of July, the Bruins sit at 58th in the overall rank for the class of 2024, but they will continue to climb up the rankings in the coming months. With their sights set on assembling a big-time 2024 class, UCLA is poised to make an impact in the Big 10 and leave their mark on college football.
