The UCLA Bruins are already looking ahead to their 2025 recruiting class, and they hope for it to be a big one. Their 2024 class is amongst the bottom nationally and in the Big 10 conference, as they are 15th out of 16th in 2024.

However, that could all change in 2025, and even though the prospects are too young to choose a college, that doesn't mean UCLA isn't doing their due diligence.

The Bruins are already doing their work for 2025, making offers to two top prospects, including Nevada offensive lineman Douglas Utu.

Utu is the number one offensive lineman in the state of Nevada and the number seven offensive tackle in the nation. The five-star recruit spoke to 247Sports Brandon Huffamn and said the offer from the Bruins meant a lot to him.

"The offer from UCLA means a lot, said Utu. They produce a lot of good offensive linemen over there. Utu took a visit to UCLA in the spring and enjoyed his time in Westwood. The UCLA visit was good, they really take care of their players and I like coach Drev (Tim Drevno)," said Utu.

Utu is ranked 77th nationally in the class of 2025 with a 6'6" frame and weighs 301 pounds. The big guy resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will enter his junior season at Bishop Gorman.

UCLA made him an offer in late May, and you can't blame them. He has over 17 total offers, but we won't know where he'll go until next year.

Utu would be a huge pickup for the Bruins, but it'll be some time before he makes his decision.
