UCLA Football: Who'll Be Under Center In Rivalry Week Game Vs USC?

Will Caleb Williams decide to suit up?

Your UCLA Bruins head into the Coliseum reeling after a loss to the 3-7 Arizona State Sun Devils last weekend.

But it's unclear if they'll even be facing the USC Trojans' best and brightest. As Donovan James of Trojans Wire notes, it remains unclear whether or not Heisman-winning quarterback Caleb Williams will even partake in the rivalry week festivities this afternoon.

James speculates that Williams will opt to play today, but could easily sit out his forthcoming bowl game.

It's also conversely unclear which Bruins quarterback will get the starting nod this week. Chip Kelly started third-stringer Collin Schlee in last week's 17-7 upset loss against the Arizona State Sun Devils, a game that may have sealed Kelly's fate with the club long-term. Injured quarterbacks Dante Moore and Ethan Garbers, both of whom have started over Schlee when healthy this season, were technically available but neither saw any run time, as Kelly cleared wanted to be cautious with both players.

Other Bruins have speculated that at least one of Moore or Garbers will be available to suit up this week over Schlee.

Time will tell who'll be under center, for both sides, when this bout ultimately kicks off at 12:30 p.m. PT.
