USC's senior offensive analyst Kliff Kingsbury is heading back to the NFL. Kingsbury will become the new offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders.

After spending four seasons as the Arizona Cardinals head coach before coming to USC, he will head back to the NFL and lead the struggling Commanders to new heights. Although it's a tough loss for the Trojans, people within the Trojans community are happy for Kingsbury, including USC's Heisman Trophy winner, Caleb Williams

Williams took to Instagram to congratulate his coach from the 2023 season.

Williams is expected to be the number one pick in the 2024 NFL draft. The Commanders hold the number two pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

The teams with the first three picks in the draft, the Chicago Bears, the Washington Commanders, and the New England Patriots, will likely pick a quarterback. With Williams likely to go number one, the Commanders may have no chance of drafting the former Heisman winner. So, a Kingsbury and Williams reunion is unlikely at the moment.

However, Williams to Washington makes a ton of sense. For one, Williams was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He attended Gonzaga College High School and was the highest-rated quarterback prospect in his class. Second, there's word that he doesn't want to be a Chicago Bear. There might be a plan to get himself out of it or pull an Eli Manning on draft night.

And third, we've seen Kingsbury and Williams work. Although the 2023 season was a disaster for the Trojans, Williams was incredible. Will we see the Williams and KIngsbury duo in the NFL, or did Kingsbury feel Washington was the right job for him?

We'll find out soon enough.
