In college football, there have been three major coaching changes that have reinvigorated the transfer portal despite it being in the midst of a dead period.

Following Alabama head coach Nick Saban's retirement, Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer has since taken over in Tuscaloosa. Jedd Fisch migrated North to take over at Washington, which led to Brent Brennan replacing him at Arizona. On top of major coaching changes, these three of these programs are now also dealing with players from their rosters having a 30-day transfer portal window that allows for them to test the waters and follow them to their new school, or find a new landing spot.

Realistically, Alabama players have all pretty much landed at their new school, which leaves Arizona and Washington players still very much up for grabs.

Three Arizona Transfers Utah Should Target After Their Mass Exodus

As of Friday, there are still around a dozen Washington players who have yet to find their landing spot. Combine that with the fact that Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham recently revealed they are still looking for as many as 10 more transfers, three players seem like perfect additions for the Utes from Seattle.

Here are the three Washington players that make the most sense for Utah to target.

Geirean Hatchett, OL

While this isn't being talked about enough, the Utah Utes did lose Keaton Bills to the NFL Draft. He had nearly 30 starts under his belt, and as Utah moves to the Big 12 they will need someone to step in and help anchor that line to protect Cam Rising, and establish their run game. Washington's Geirean Hatchett has seen a decent amount of playing time, and offers an experienced lineman. The plus side of getting him is the fact that his younger brother Landen is also in the portal and may join his brother wherever he goes as a former four-star recruit.

Asa Turner, S

The Utah Utes lost both Sione Vaki and Cole Bishop to the NFL, and while they did attack that position heavily in recruiting, Asa Turner is a proven veteran. Not to mention he has the ultimate toughness and grit that this Utah program is built on, as he played this past season with both of his hands broken. He has 26 starts to his name and would be a perfect pairing with Stanford transfer Alaka'i Gilman. Having two grad transfers would allow Utah to ease the youngsters into the college level, and not just throw them into the fire.

Germie Bernard, WR

You can never have enough wide receivers, especially after losing a couple of key ones to the NFL Draft and transfer portal. The Utes have already landed USC transfer Dorian Singer, and fellow Washington transfer Taeshaun Lyons, but Germie Bernard can help take this offense to the next level. He was fourth on the team in terms of receptions and receiving yards for the receivers, as he was the next man up following the three NFL-bound pass-catchers. He racked up 34 catches for 419 yards and two scores, and also returned kicks. He would add another weapon for Cam Rising to throw to, and could help form one of the deepest receiver rooms in the Big 12.
