Wisconsin Badgers Now Projected to Play UCLA in Las Vegas Bowl
The Wisconsin Badgers secured their spot for bowl play when they beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers 28-14 this past weekend. This morning, USAToday released their latest bowl projections and the Badgers' possible opponent has changed again. Earlier in the month, FoxSports projected the Badgers to play the Florida Gators. Last week, USAToday projected Wisconsin to play Kansas. Earlier this morning USAToday released their latest projections and the Wisconsin Badgers are now projected to play against UCLA in the Las Vegas Bowl. If they are correct, the battle will take place on December 23.
Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen Discusses Future Plans
Wisconsin has won 4 of the 11 games they've had against UCLA. # of those wins came during the last 3 matches; they haven't fallen to UCLA since 1982. During the 2000 Sun Bowl, they took on the Bruins for a close 21-20 victory. Wisconsin and UCLA are both 7-5 for the season. UCLA is facing its own challenges as many are purportedly calling for head coach Chip Kelly. One Bruins fan recently went above and beyond to show his displeasure; he hired a plane to fly a banner in favor of firing coach Kelly.
Final Thoughts
If the latest bowl projections are correct and the Badgers battle the Bruins, it will not only be a chance for the Badgers to extend their winning streak against the Bruins but also to finish their season with an exciting bowl victory. Whomever Wisconsin plays, this game will be a thrilling end to the season for both fans and players.
