It’s always fun when a position player has to come in and pitch. It could go really well for the guy or it could be a laughable disaster

Well, there were laughs at the end of Marlins catcher Jacob Stallings‘s inning of work Wednesday night against the Braves—but those chuckles by Ronald Acuña Jr. were out of disbelief after Stallings struck him out looking with a beautiful pitch. 

Stallings, who pitched the eighth inning of a 14–6 game, fired an 85-mph heater that painted the bottom of the strike zone and ended the inning.
