New York Yankees' Aaron Judge Does Something Not Done in More Than 50 Years This Week
It's been quite the week for New York Yankees star Aaron Judge.
It started with him being potentially accused of cheating by the Toronto Blue Jays broadcast team, and then he also made team history this week.
In addition to those two instances, Judge is also putting up one of the more memorable individual weeks in baseball history.
Per OptaSTATS on Twitter:
The @Yankees are 5-1 on their current road trip. Aaron Judge has had the game-winning RBI in all 5 wins (RBI that put team ahead to stay).
No other MLB player in the last 50 years has had 5 game-winning RBI on the road in a span of 6 days or less.
Judge had an RBI single in the top of the tenth inning on Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds that gave the Yankees a 5-4 lead.
They'd eventually win 7-4.
This season, Judge is off to another great start for the Bronx Bombers. He's hitting .299 with 13 homers and 32 RBI. After dealing with an injured hip earlier this month, he's certainly back in a big way in the middle of the Yankees lineup.
For his career, he's a .284 hitter with 233 homers and 529 RBI. He won the American League MVP in 2022, is a Rookie of the Year winner, a three-time Silver Slugger and a four-time All-Star selection.
The Yankees enter play on Sunday at 28-20 and in third place in the American League East. They'll finish out a series with the Reds on Sunday at 11:35 a.m. ET.
Judge is out of the lineup for a day off.
