Conor McGregor's Training Partner Slams Jake Paul: "I'd Smoke Him"
Conor McGregor is known for his brash style, and some of that swagger has rubbed off on his teammates.
One sparring partner who appears to have taken notice is Kiefer Crosbie. The SBG Ireland standout is preparing for an exhibition boxing match against Aaron Chalmers this Saturday (July 15).
If Crosbie gets past Chalmers, he'll hope to get a showdown with Jake Paul in the future. Here's what the Conor McGregor training partner told The Sun about wanting a fight with Paul.
“I’d smoke Jake Paul, I’d smoke him. But obviously it comes down to a name thing. The easy thing is, ‘Who’s he?’ That’s the easy way out of that fight, ‘Who’s Kieffer Crosbie?’ Cool, well move round with me then, mate. Spar me then, fight me then, it would never happen, he’d never fight me. He’d go after a bigger name with less skills, that’s what he’s trying to do or the biggest name where he knows it will never happen."
Perhaps Crosbie's association with McGregor may be enough to net him that Paul fight. After all, Paul has long called for a clash against the "Notorious" one. Crosbie said he feels Paul calls out the likes of McGregor and Canelo Alvarez because he knows those fights will never happen.
Crosbie did give Paul his due in one aspect, however. He referred to the social media star as a "marketing genius."
