AEW News: Tony Khan Drops Colossal Announcement With Major Implications
AEW founder and President Tony Khan dropped some major news on Wednesday night.
Last week, AEW revealed that Khan would be making a "big announcement" on the February 7th episode of AEW Dynamite. There was much speculation on what the announcement would be. Some speculated that Mercedes Moné would make an appearance, while others were in favor of former NJPW golden boy Kazuchika Okada, who still has one last match with the promotion against Hiroshi Tanahashi this Sunday.
As it turns out, an earlier leak proved to have the answer hours before AEW Dynamite aired.

When the show aired live on TBS in the United States, Tony Khan revealed that on March 13, AEW Dynamite will be making its way to the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. While Mercedes Moné wasn't announced, Boston is where the former Sasha Banks embarked on her wrestling journey. The March 13 date will be a themed Dynamite show dubbed, "AEW BIG BUSINESS."
The subject of Khan's announcement had been leaked hours prior to AEW Dynamite. The official social media accounts of TD Garden let word slip that there would indeed be a March 13 event for AEW's flagship show.
Moné suffered an ankle injury back in May of last year. This occurred during her Strong Women's Championship match against current AEW talent Willow Nightingale. Moné has long been rumored to be making her way to Tony Khan's promotion.
In fact, reports surfaced claiming that the former multiple-time WWE Women's Champion and ex-IWGP Women's Champion was supposed to be announced sooner, but Khan felt the federal investigation of former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon would overshadow the moment.
