While Bellator was celebrating a milestone with its 300th event in San Diego, Calif., a former Bellator participant, Musa Toliver, suffered another problematic defeat, this time to a former UFC athlete.

In the main event of LXF 11 in Long Beach, Calif., Toliver, who fell to 10-14-1 as a professional, was blitzed and eventually knocked out by Albert Morales.

Morales caught Toliver with a devastating hook that kept Toliver motioning backward off his lead foot, which smelled like the beginning of the end.

It eventually was. A devastating ground-and-pound sequence followed from Morales, leaving the referee no choice but to halt the action.

The victory was Morales' 13th overall and his first MMA win since Aug. 2022. Morales has been around the MMA scene for several years and had stints in Bellator and the UFC, finishing 2-1 and 1-4, respectively.

Morales' last UFC appearance came in Feb. 2018, losing to Manny Bermudez via second-round guillotine choke. His lone win in the promotion came against Andre Soukhamtath at UFC 209 in March 2017, as he edged out a split decision.

Toliver's last win came in January, defeating Willie Gates by split decision at LXF 8.
