UFC Fight Night Results & Highlights: Bobby Green Upsets Grant Dawson

Green scored the biggest victory of his career in the night's main event.

Following a rare Saturday without an event, the UFC returned this weekend with another Fight Night card that took place at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The main event saw Grant Dawson compete in his first headlining slot on a UFC card when he took on veteran lightweight contender Bobby Green. “KGD” had been perfect since joining the UFC outside of a majority draw against Ricky Glenn, but Green stunned Dawson with a quick knockout and should now find himself ranked in the lightweight Top 15.

The co-main event was a matchup between hard-hitting middleweights Joe Pyfer and Abdul Razak Alhassan. “Bodybagz” had already made quite a name for himself after earning first-round knockouts in his first two UFC bouts, and in his third outing he showed he can get things done on the mat as well when he put Alhassan unconcious with a second-round submission.

The event’s main card also included Drew Dober stopping Ricky Glenn with strikes in the first round. Joaquin Buckley improved to 2-0 as a welterweight when he defeated Alex Morono, and the main card kicked off with Bill Algeo taking a unanimous decision over Alexander Hernandez.
