Elimination Chamber 2024: WWE Makes Huge Change To Original Plans for PLE Event
A colossal change has been made to initial plans for this year's WWE Elimination Chamber show.
Much of the attention going into WrestleMania 40 has been on The Rock turning heel amid the massive fan support for Cody Rhodes. "The American Nightmare" will be challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania XL. With that said, there is a big PLE event to get to before the end of February.
There appears to have been a pretty significant plan in place for the Elimination Chamber 2024 show in Perth, but it has since been nixed.
WWE News: Stone Cold Steve Austin Drops Massive Tease On Marquee Wrestling Match
PWInsider is reporting that WWE was looking to add Jade Cargill to the women's Elimination Chamber match, but that idea might change. It's important to note that Cargill is reportedly expected to attend the upcoming WWE SmackDown taping. It won't be long to find out whether or not the company pivots once again.
As it stands now, there are three participants in the women's Elimination Chamber match on February 24. Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Liv Morgan have earned their spots after winning qualifying matches. Tiffany Stratton will face Shotzi, while Naomi will take on Zelina Vega in qualifying matches on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown.
There will also be a last chance battle royal to determine who will get a spot in the Elimination Chamber match. This match will be held on the February 19th edition of WWE Raw.
Recently, it was reported that Jade will be appearing on the SmackDown brand in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 40. While the immediate plans for Jade aren't known at this time, she figures to be in for a meteoric rise on WWE TV.
Jade recently appeared during this year's women's Royal Rumble match. She entered at number 28 and eliminated Nia Jax. Cargill made it to the final three, but she was eliminated before Bayley shoved Liv Morgan off the ring apron to win the match.
