The main event of the evening was the highly-anticipated rematch for the women’s flyweight title between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso upset Shevchenko with a fourth-round submission in their first meeting at UFC 285, and both women had huge moments of success in their second bout before the champion retained her title via split draw.

The co-main event featured Kevin Holland and Jack Della Maddalena squaring off to see which fighter would continue climbing the UFC’s welterweight rankings. “Trailblazer” provided the biggest step up in competition for the Australian since he joined the UFC, but Della Maddalena was able to outwork Holland on the feet and take a split decision victory.
