Jack Jenkins luckily avoided breaking any bones at UFC 293, but his arm still appears to be in rough shape after he dislocated his elbow during a bout with Chepe Mariscal.

“Phar” was one of a number of Australian fighters competing at last weekend’s UFC 293 card in Sydney, but unfortunately his featherweight bout with Mariscal ended in the second round after Jenkins tried posting off a throw and inadvertently dislocated his elbow.

An update the day after the event revealed that the Australian hadn’t broken anything but was waiting to hear about potential ligament damage, and on a recent Instagram story Jenkins showed how his arm is looking several days after the fight-ending injury.

The 30-year-old was on a nine-fight win streak heading into UFC 293 and had already won his first two bouts in the UFC after debuting earlier this year, so hopefully Jenkins is able to return to action relatively soon and get back to punishing opponents with his devastating leg kicks.

The result of that fight was a disappointing one for the Sydney crowd, however fighters from Australia and New Zealand did have a considerable amount of success at the event with Carlos Ulberg, Tyson Pedro and Justin Tafa all scoring consecutive finishes in the three bouts that followed Jenkins’ matchup with Mariscal.

The fans in Sydney unfortunately didn’t have much to cheer for towards the end of the night, as Tai Tuivasa was submitted by Alexander Volkov in the UFC 293 co-main event before Israel Adesanya suffered a shocking upset loss to Sean Strickland in the middleweight title fight that closed out the card.
