UFC 300: Another Massive Name Ruled Out Of Extraordinary UFC Event In Las Vegas

You can cross yet another big name off the list for UFC 300.

One household name that had been rumored for the UFC 300 card will not be fighting on the show.

UFC 300 has a ton of buzz, which means a lot of speculation. We've seen some major names thrown out there in the rumor mill such as Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar. UFC CEO Dana White has denied that either of those megastars will be featured on the promotion's biggest event of 2024.

Even current athletes on the UFC roster have publicly ruled out being featured on the show. One of the fighters who revealed UFC 300 is a no-go was reigning UFC women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso.

Now, we have another name who has denied having anything lined up for the April 13 show in Las Vegas.

Since announcing his retirement from pro MMA competition back in February 2019, rumors have been swirling in regards to a possible return for Georges St-Pierre. The best chance for the UFC to strike was to book him in a showdown with then-UFC lightweight king Khabib Nurmagomedov. Both men showed interest, but things never materialized.

With UFC 300 looming, GSP fight rumors have once again surfaced. During a seminar at Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA, Georges St-Pierre revealed he will not be fighting on the UFC 300 card (h/t Bloody Elbow).

“It’s a rumor," GSP said. "I’ve never been offered for a fight (at UFC 300). I’ve made that clear (to them) that I have no desire of coming back to fight in mixed martial arts."

St-Pierre's last pro MMA fight took place at UFC 217 back in November 2017. GSP choked out Michael Bisping to capture the UFC Middleweight Championship inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.
