The UFC returned to Las Vegas for a Fight Night event that was lacking in high-profile names but featured a number of intriguing matchups, including the middleweight main event between Sean Strickland and Abus Magomedov. 

Entering the night as the UFC’s #7-ranked middleweight contender, Strickland had plenty to lose in a fight with the unranked Magomedov.

"Tarzan" had to deal with a nasty eye poke in the first round before struggling with Magomedov's varied offense, but Strickland turned the tables in the second round by repeatedly tagging his opponent to set up his first finish since 2020.

The card’s co-main event saw Grant Dawson improve his current winning streak to eleven fights with a dominant performance against Damir Ismagulov. The main card also included the undefeated Michael Morales taking a unanimous decision over longtime UFC veteran Max Griffin, as well as first-round finishes from Benoit Saint-Denis and the debuting Nursulton Ruziboev.

The rest of the event boasted some well-matched bouts and a number of up-and-coming fighters trying to establish themselves in the UFC, with the standout prelim performances being Elves Brener's upset win over Guram Kutateladze and Rinat Fakhretdinov spoiling Kevin Lee's return to the promotion.
