Bogdan Grad didn’t need much time to rebound from a knockout loss on Dana White’s Contender Series from earlier this year.

“The Unleashed” auditioned to join the UFC in August when he took on the unbeaten Tom Nolan in front of Dana White at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas. Grad entered the matchup on a five-fight win streak that included a run of four-straight stoppages.

Things unfortunately didn’t go to plan for the Austrian in Las Vegas, as he was brutally knocked out by Nolan in just over a minute and missed out on his chance to earn a UFC contract.

The 28-year-old made his return to Austria’s Cage Fight Series this week for a bout with Breno Marinho in the main event of Cage FS 14, and Grad quickly erased the memory of his previous loss with an absolutely sensational knockout (video courtesy of the legend @Grabaka_Hitman).

Grad’s record already boasted notable wins via leg kicks and a spinning heel kick, but the perfect flying knee that he used to stop Marinho might stand as the best finish of his career to date.

“The Unleashed” has now earned finishes in 10 out of his 12 career victories. His only setback aside from the matchup with Nolan was a decision loss in 2020, but Grad rebounded from that result with the five-fight win streak that earned him a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series.

It’s not uncommon for the UFC to keep Dana White’s Contender Series alum in mind for potential short-notice opportunities, and if Grad can keep picking up highlight-reel wins he may get another chance to make the jump to the world’s leading MMA promotion.
