UPDATE: Anthony Davis is available for Game 6.

On Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Golden State Warriors for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

The Lakers had a chance to end the series on Wednesday evening in San Francisco, but the Warriors were able to survive with a 121-106 victory.

During the fourth quarter, eight-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis got injured and did not return.

He got hit in the head (inadvertently) by Warriors' center Kevon Looney.

For Game 6, Davis is officially listed as probable, and his head injury is not mentioned on the injury report.

He has been listed as probable due to a foot injury for the entire series but has played in every game.

NBA's official injury report

For more confirmation that Davis will likely be available, ESPN's Dave McMenamin provided an update on Thursday afternoon.

Via McMenamin: "As I just reported on NBA Today, a source close to Anthony Davis told ESPN on Thursday morning he "doesn't envision any scenario" where AD would miss Friday's Game 6 against the Warriors. "It's the playoffs," the source added."

Davis has been fantastic through the first 11 games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs with averages of 21.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.4 blocks per contest while shooting 52.9% from the field.

The 30-year-old is in his 11th season in the league and his fifth playing for the Lakers.

In 2020, he helped lead the team to the NBA Championship and they are currently the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

The Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round in six games, and the winner of the series will advance to the Western Conference Finals.
