On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Golden State Warriors at Crypto.com Arena for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, they will have one of their best players in the starting lineup, as Anthony Davis has been upgraded to available.

Via Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet: "Anthony Davis and LeBron James are both officially available for Game 6."

Davis got inadvertently hit in the head at the end of Game 5, but no head injury was listed on the injury report (he's been probable for every game of the series due to his foot).

Having Davis available is likely a significant relief, as the superstar forward has been arguably the best player on the team through the first 11 games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The former Kentucky star is averaging a sensational 21.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.4 blocks per contest while shooting 52.9% from the field.

The series is now 3-2 (still in favor of the Lakers) after the Warriors won Game 5 by a score of 121-106 (on Wednesday night at home).

While the Warriors were able to stay alive, the Lakers can end the series on their home floor in Game 6.

That said, a victory for the Warriors would give them all of the momentum going into Game 7 back at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Sunday.

Whoever wins the series will advance to the Western Conference Finals and face off against the Denver Nuggets.
