FINAL UPDATE: Jimmy Butler's Current Injury Status For Knicks-Heat Game
FINAL UPDATE: Jimmy Butler has been upgraded to available for Game 4.
On Monday evening, the Miami Heat will host the New York Knicks in Florida for Game 4 of their second-round playoff series.
For the game, their best player Jimmy Butler remains on the injury report listed as questionable (as of 1:30 Eastern Time).
The six-time NBA All-Star missed Game 2 due to an ankle injury, but returned and played 36 minutes in Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.
He had 28 points and led the team to a 105-86 blowout victory to take a 2-1 lead on the series.
For Game 4, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Butler is expected to play.
Winderman tweeted on Sunday: "Heat listing Butler (ankle) and Martin (back) as questionable for Monday, with the expectation both will play, as they did Saturday with the same listing. Herro and Oladipo still out. Haslem (illness) and Highsmith (knee) probable. Zeller (nasal fracture) available."
Butler has been sensational during his first seven games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, with averages of 34.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 56.4% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range.
He has led the Heat to the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the previous three seasons and they made the NBA Finals in 2020.
In the first round, they upset the Milwaukee Bucks (who were the first seed in the Eastern Conference) in just five games.
Whoever wins the series will face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers in the Conference Finals.
