UPDATE: Jimmy Butler's Current Injury Status For Knicks-Heat Game

Jimmy Butler is on the injury report for Game 6.

UPDATE: Jimmy Butler is available for Game 6

On Friday evening, the Miami Heat are hosting the New York Knicks in Florida for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, Jimmy Butler is on the injury report.

That said, the six-time NBA All-Star is listed as probable, so he will likely be in the starting lineup.

Butler missed Game 2 with an ankle injury but has returned and played in each of the last three games.

Via Underdog NBA: "Jimmy Butler (ankle) listed probable for Friday."

Butler has been brilliant during the 2023 NBA Playoffs with averages of 31.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 55.1% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.

He is in his fourth season playing for the Heat and has led the franchise to the NBA Playoffs every year.

They have been to the Eastern Conference Finals two times in the previous three seasons (and made the NBA Finals in 2020).

Currently, the Heat have a 3-2 lead over the Knicks, so they can close out the series in Game 6.

If the Knicks are able to survive, then Game 7 will be back at Madison Square Garden in New York City (on Monday).

In Game 5 (on Wednesday), the Knicks kept their season alive by winning 112-103.

Butler played 43 minutes and had 19 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, four steals and two blocks.

The winner of the series will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia 76ers (that series is tied up at 3-3).
