LaMelo Ball's Official Injury Status For Hornets-Grizzlies Game

LaMelo Ball is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Charlotte Hornets will be in Tennessee to face off against the Memphis Grizzlies. 

For the game, the Hornets will remain without their best player, as LaMelo Ball has been ruled out. 

Ball has missed each of the previous 22 games, so this will be his 23rd straight out of the starting lineup. 

Via Charlotte Hornets PR: "LaMelo Ball (R Ankle), Seth Curry (R Ankle), Cody Martin (L Ankle) Bryce McGowens (R Knee) and Mark Williams (Low Back) are out."

Ball has only played in 22 games but is averaging a very productive 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range. 

The Hornets have had an extremely disappointing season and are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 16-49 record in 65 games. 

They have gone 2-8 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Detroit Pistons by a score of 114-97. 

Following the Grizzlies, the Hornets will play their next game on Friday evening when they return home to host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns in North Carolina. 

As for the Grizzlies, they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 23-43 record in 66 games. 

They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Washington Wizards by a score of 109-97. 

Following the Hornets, the Grizzlies will play their next game on Saturday evening when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder.
