McLaren CEO Zak Brown has poked fun at Lando Norris' Hungarian Grand Prix podium disaster.

The Belgian-British driver celebrated his second-place finish on the podium with Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez who finished first and third, respectively. Norris did the legendary move of slamming the champagne bottle on the podium step to make the drink shoot out of the top. However, in a slight oversight on Norris' part, as he hit Verstappen's podium his trophy toppled off and smashed.

Although the McLaren driver received some criticism on social media, it was clearly just an accident and there are no hard feelings between the two drivers or the teams.

Brown even mocked the hilarious moment when the McLaren team were taking their group picture afterwards. In a video released by Sky Sports F1, Brown walks up to take his position for the photo but before he does, he picks up Norris' trophy and pretends to smash it on the floor.

McLaren has made some significant improvements over the last couple of races. They bagged a P2 and P4 in the British Grand Prix and a P2 and P5 in the recent Hungarian Grand Prix. The Woking-based squad's success at Silverstone moved them up in the constructors' standings above Alpine to take the fifth spot. Adding to that success, the points they collected in Budapest along with Alpine's double DNF, McLaren has now extended the gap to the French team to forty points.

There is just one more race to go before the summer break with the Belgian Grand Prix this coming weekend.
