F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has confirmed that they will not step in to hinder Red Bull's current dominance, despite calls to make the sport more interesting as the Austrian team continue to extend their lead from the other teams.

Red Bull has won all five races so far this season, with four out of those five being 1-2 finishes.

During an interview with the Financial Times, Domenicali acknowledged the job that Red Bull has done to create this lead but insists that the championship is not over yet. He explained:

“This year, we need to say the truth: Red Bull did a better job than the others, it’s a fact.

“But I would be imprudent to say the championship is finished.

“We cannot intervene in the performance of the teams.

“I am sure what we did in terms of financial regulations will help to minimise the gap on the technical side.”

The Austrian team, who also won the constructors' championship in 2022, are currently in the lead with 224 ahead of Aston Martin with 102 points and Mercedes who has 96 points.

The battle between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez has been a big talking point so far this season as the Mexican has had a boost of confidence to threaten Verstappen for the title. Verstappen is currently in the lead of the drivers' standings with 119 points with Perez 14 points behind him with 105 points. Fernando Alonso has had a fantastic start to the season and is currently in third place with 75 points.

Despite the early season dominance, many expect the field to become a bit closer as more upgrades are brought in. Red Bull have 10% less wind tunnel time this year due to exceeding the cost cap in 2021.
