It's been revealed that just like his driver Lewis Hamilton, Toto Wolff has stepped into the world of cinema with him being confirmed to be a co-producer of the 7-time champion's upcoming film starring Brad Pitt

Wolff's involvement was not a solitary act. As it turns out, Mercedes was instrumental in the creation of the racing cars that steal the spotlight in the currently unnamed project. There's a genuine F1 aura revolving around the  movie, made evident when the British Grand Prix weekend served as the backdrop for numerous scenes last weekend. The branding of Mercedes and AMG on their Formula 2 car and the Silverstone backdrop speaks volumes about the authenticity of the scenes.

Co-production of the movie is a shared endeavour between Wolff and Lewis Hamilton's production company, 'Dawn Apollo Films'.

"Yes, I’m also a co-producer,” Wolff confirmed to Sky Germany, showcasing a gleaming sense of accomplishment and a hint of humour about his role in the movie's creation.

“It was a very interesting story. You may ask, what’s the advantage of being a co-producer? Well, eventually you get your name on the third or fourth page of the end credits. Yay.

“But seriously, I believe Netflix works very well for Formula 1, and now we’re taking it to the next level.

“Whenever the movie is released, it will be a real blockbuster because the cast couldn’t be better, the A-list.

“Penny, Lewis’s manager, made me one (a co-producer), and of course, we helped the team with the car.

“I’ll try to stay in the seat [during the credits] for a long time to find my name there," he joked.

Only recently has it been rumoured that Tom Holland will star alongside the likes of Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, with him not only being a huge fan of the sport, but a follower of Lewis Hamilton himself.

As of now, the much-awaited movie, under the skilled direction of Joseph Kosinski, famous for his recent blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick, has not announced a definitive release date.
