Aston Martin's impressive performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix yesterday had fans buzzing with excitement, and for good reason. Despite Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez finishing first and second, respectively, it was Fernando Alonso who stole the spotlight with a remarkable third-place finish. Not only did this benefit the team hugely, it also made team owner Lawrence Stroll a lot of money.

The Spaniard's success has had a ripple effect beyond the track. One astute observer noted that Aston Martin's stock prices soared in response to Alonso's stunning performance.

While the automaker's stock price had been steadily climbing in 2023, it jumped significantly on March 1st, with the share value leaping from £190 to £276. With Aston Martin's strong showing in F1 this year, some are wondering whether this could be a viable investment opportunity.

However, it's important to note that this website does not provide investment advice. In any case, it's unlikely that we'll see a repeat of such a massive increase in the company's stock value in the near future. But if the team continues to excel and perhaps even secures the world title, then who knows what the future may hold?

Lawrence Stroll bought the Force India Racing team in 2018 which later became Racing Point Force India. As the team went into the 2019, they changed the name once again to Racing Point F1 team and Stroll brought his son, Lance, on to driver for the team.

In 2020, Stroll Sr led the Yew Tree Investments consortium with an investment of £182 million into Aston Martin for 16.7% in the company. And so, Racing Point F1 team was re-branded to Aston Martin F1 team in 2021.
