Max Verstappen has crossed the line first in the Australian Grand Prix after a dramatic race. 

The Belgian-Dutch driver has ended his 'Australian GP curse' winning the race for the first time in his career.

Joining the Red Bull driver on the podium is Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso who finished second and third, respectively.

It was a dramatic race in Melbourne with retirements from Charles Leclerc in Turn 3 of Lap 1, Alex Albon who crashed into the race wall causing a red flag, and George Russell who's Mercedes W14 caught on fire with a suspected fuel leak. 

Sergio Perez, who started in 20th from the pit lane, managed to make his way up the field into the points, finishing in X place.
