It has been just over a year since Deion Sanders accepted the role as the Colorado Buffaloes head football coach and quickly turned the NCAA upside down through sheer willpower. Even better, the two-way sports legend officially reunited with Nike in July 2023 after years apart.

It did not take long for Nike to begin issuing new "Coach Prime" apparel to the public while supplying players with retro cleats from Sanders' signature footwear line. As promised, some of Sanders' old-school sneakers and cleats are beginning to be rolled out to the public.

On Friday night, Sanders shared a video of himself unboxing the Nike Air DT Max '96, a cleated version of the Nike DT Max '96 cleats, and a cleated version of the Nike Air Diamond Turf. Check out the Instagram post below for a detailed look at the fire footwear.

The Nike Air DT Max '96 has enjoyed several retro releases over the years, with the most recent coming in 2018. The model is expected to launch in a Buffaloes-inspired White/Black/Varsity Maize colorway in Summer 2024. However, there is no official release date or pricing available at this time.

Additionally, football players can expect to see the Nike Air DT Max '96 and Nike Diamond Turf cleats hit stores later this year. A hybrid model designed designed for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was already released and flew off the shelves in December 2023.

While fans anxiously await the highly anticipated kicks to be released once again, they can stock up on Sanders' "Coach Prime" apparel on the Nike website. Sanders reuniting with Nike has already been great for the sneaker community and football world.
