It has been less than a year since the launch of the first signature sneaker for Jayson Tatum. Despite the short amount of time, the Boston Celtics forward has enjoyed a remarkably quick rise of his signature Jordan Brand kicks. Athletes and fans alike have gravitated toward the Jordan Tatum 1.

Being one of the select few athletes from the Jumpman roster with a signature basketball shoe has its perks. Most notably, college basketball programs sponsored by Jordan Brand will wear your shoes in team-specific colorways that are not released to the public.

Throughout the upcoming season, hoops fans will see Tatum's sneakers all over college basketball courts. That includes North Carolina Tar Heels players rocking the former Duke Blue Devils' sneakers in a player-exclusive Carolina Blue and white colorway.

Unofficial images of a 'Tar Heels' colorway of the Jordan Tatum 1 recently leaked online, and even Tatum had to give them props. The Duke legend shared a picture of the hoop shoes on his Instagram story and called them fire, adding, "That was hard to admit."

Tatum is not biased because it is his signature model; the 'Tar Heels' colorway is fantastic. Unfortunately for fans, these beautiful basketball shoes will never be released to the public. However, the silver lining is that online shoppers can choose between several colorways of the Jordan Tatum 1 on the Nike website.

Tatum's first signature sneaker is already a smash hit, and it still has time to make more of an impact on the basketball world. With the NBA and college basketball season starting up, sneakerheads can count on more fire colorways of the Jordan Tatum 1 hitting the hardwood.
