New Balance Coco CG1 Releasing in Wimbledon-Inspired Style
Coco Gauff put the tennis world on notice as a teenager with her exciting playstyle. Now she's winning the hearts and minds of fans with her hilarious personality and popular New Balance tennis shoes.
Earlier this month, Gauff took over Paris at the 2023 French Open. She happily defended her choice of chocolate cake for breakfast and showed off the latest colorway of her signature tennis shoe, the New Balance Coco CG1.
The 19-year-old prodigy has quickly become the face of New Balance Tennis. Every slam, social media post, and sneaker release only increases her stardom. With Wimbledon right around the corner, New Balance is treating eager fans to another special release.
Release Information
New Balance and WTA Ranked #5 Gauff recently unveiled a new colorway for her signature shoe. The New Balance Coco CG1 ‘New Vintage' will enjoy a global launch on Friday, June 30. Fans can purchase the performance tennis shoes for $170 on the New Balance website.
The colorway is inspired by the New Balance 650 while still incorporating performance technology found in previous colors. Wanting to bring the same retro lifestyle feel of the 650 to the tennis court, Gauff’s vision combined muted sea salts and crisp white to create the perfect neutral for both on-and-off-court wear.
Details
Not only do Gauff's shoes look sharp, but they are performance beasts. The fan-favorite FuelCell foam delivers a propulsive feel to propel you forward on the court. Energy Arc pairs sport-specific carbon fiber plate geometry with strategic midsole voids. This innovative design increases stored energy to deliver more total energy returned.
Athletes and fans do not have to worry about durability with these shoes. The NDure toe guard and NDure rubber outsole technology provide superior durability in high-wear areas.
Perhaps most importantly, the Coco CG1 is capable of supporting the most powerful players. The saddle gore band wraps around the midfoot for additional support during lateral cut movements. Fans won't see Gauff tripping up on Wimbledon's legendary grass courts.
Investing in a pair of Gauff's tennis shoes is worth the money. Showing love to one of tennis' brightest stars while rocking a pair of fire sneakers is a grand slam. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your sneaker news.
