The Kansas City Royals have been dreadful this season, but we may have found a solution. Before the Royals lost to the Colorado Rockies on Friday night, Patrick Mahomes showed off his swing in the annual Big Slick celebrity softball game.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is the son of an MLB legend, so it shouldn't come as a major surprise that he can rake in the batter's box. But not only did Mahomes flex at-bat, but he used the opportunity to show off another colorway of his signature shoes.

Mahomes has been an adidas athlete since 2017 and quickly became the face of the German brand's NFL roster. Fast forward to August 2022, and adidas launched Mahomes' first signature shoe.

The adidas Mahomes 1 Impact FLX is a football training shoe with some serious technology under the hood. Below is what fans need to know about Mahomes' kicks.

The adidas Mahomes 1 Impact FLX launched in August 2022 for $140 in adult sizes and $110 in children's sizes. Luckily for athletes and fans, the shoes have been marked down by as much as half-price in select colorways on the adidas website.

Containment is not an issue with these performance shoes as they feature a ripstop textile upper with TPU overlays. A bootee construction creates a sock-like feel that molds to your feet, while the BOOST midsole returns optimal energy return.

The shoe sits on a rubber outsole containing nubs for ample traction and the ability to easily change direction. Whether going to the ballpark or the gym, the adidas Mahomes 1 Impact FLX is a solid shoe at an unbeatable price.
