Stephen Curry Gives New Shoes to Mike Breen
Every generation of basketball fans has a seminal moment they reenact when playing in the driveway. For fans of Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, it is his buzzer-beating three against the Oklahoma City Thunder in February 2016, followed by Mike Breen's exuberant call, "Bang! Bang!"
Since then, Curry has cemented himself as the best three-pointer shooter ever and created one of the strongest signature sneaker lines of all time. Throughout this season, Curry Brand and Under Armour have retold many of the 4x NBA Champion's greatest stories through exciting colorways.
This week, Curry surprised Breen with a box of recently-released shoes that honor one of the best broadcast moments in basketball history. The "Double Bang!" pack features the Curry Flow 10 and the Curry 2 Retro in reimagined colorways celebrating the iconic moment.
Both shoes were released yesterday on the Curry Brand website and select retailers. However, Curry's loyal legion of fans around the world are devouring the shoes in most sizes. Below is everything fans must know about the rare release.
Curry 2 Retro
Curry wore his second signature shoe with Under Armour during the epic battle against Oklahoma City in 2016. The player-exclusive colorway has been reimagined on the retro model in giraffe print (a nod to Curry's daughter's favorite animal).
Meanwhile, the Curry Flow 10 uses a similar design on the low-cut performance basketball shoe. Heartfelt easter eggs are scattered throughout the shoe, including giraffes on the insoles.
Curry is currently working his way back from an injury, and the doubters are beginning to sleep on Golden State once again. However, if there is one thing we have learned from Curry's historic career, he is eager to turn the lights out on his opponents.
Golden State's next game is Sunday evening against the Minnesota Timberwolves on ESPN. Meanwhile, Curry will be reevaluated in one week. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks more all your footwear news.
