Marion Freshmen defeats Independence 54-39

Marion - Marion Freshmen's Connor Whalen led all scorers with 18 points as the Indians beat Independence 54-39 in a game at Marion."

Whalen's points came on 9 field goals during the game.

Independence was led by Logan Schmitt's 14 points and Kaleb Lamphier added 9. Independence fell to 0-2 overall while Marion Freshmen improved their record to 7-0.

Marion Freshmen will travel to Williamsburg on Friday Jan. 20 at 4:20pm to play Williamsburg.
