In this story:

The Anthony Rendon era hasn’t gone quite the way that anyone in the Los Angeles Angels organization would have hoped. He hasn’t been able to stay on the field at all, and it has cost the team in terms of overall success.

Rendon hasn’t played in more than 58 games in a season with the Halos since his arrival, causing much frustration all around. It seems that anytime he finally was healthy, something else would happen and take a turn for the worst.

There has been talk about the team moving on from him this winter, but they are still on the hook for another three years at $38 million a season. That is quite a hefty price to be paying for a guy who hardly takes the field.

But this time around, it seems that things have gotten more heated. Multiple members of the media have called Rendon out for being unprofessional while he has been out dealing with another injury.

You can add MLB analyst Chris Rose to the list of media members who are tired of Rendon. He laid into the Halos third baseman on his show, Baseball Today.

“I’ve had enough of his act. It’s tired. He is so tired.”

Rendon’s attitude has been called into question lately, so Rose is not off base at all with his comments. Rose continued with his feelings toward Rendon.

“The whole act is so tired. It’s been tired forever. It was tired in Washington, it’s tired now. I get it, it’s not fun being injured, like you want to be out there. I think he does at least, I’m not so sure about that anymore. But you know what be a f**king professional.”

These are strong words from Rose, but it’s a similar sentiment to what others have said. It’s a sad situation overall because when healthy, Rendon is still a good baseball player.

The Angels may be better off to cut ties with Rendon this offseason, even if his salary stays on the roster. However, it's unlikely they do so.

Rendon has been one of the worst contracts signed over the last few years. It’s been hard for the Angels to build their roster since he takes up such a large sum of money. But it’s the bed that they made, so they will need to deal with it for the remainder of the contract.
