Angels Notes: A New HaLow for LA, Trout Floored by Shocking Front Office Decision, Looking Ahead and More
Labor Day is here!
Barbecues are getting fired up, baseball's coming down the homestretch, and generally, things look great as the biggest day of fall gets here.
Unfortunately for the Los Angeles Angels, things aren't looking so good for them as they hit what may be the lowest on-field point in a season of a lot of them. They went into Oakland this past weekend and we're swept by a downtrodden A's franchise, finished off by a 10-6 defeat on Sunday. That loss continues the Halos' dramatic slide, as they've lost 10 out of their last 13 games.
In other news, superstar centerfielder Mike Trout, in a conversation this weekend revealed his own personal shock over the front office's decision to sell off players for free heading into September. He also talked about his health, which is his "main goal" for the coming offseason and beyond.
Also, Halos starting pitcher Griffin Canning has thrown the ball well since working his way back to the field -- and while he's happy to be back with the team -- he's also looking to show that he can succeed consistently. You can read about that and much more below!
