Takeaways: The Braves bats were electric helping secure the series win over the Marlins

Big games from Ozzie Albies and Marcell Ozuna helped the Braves blowout the Marlins.

The Atlanta Braves won game two of their three-game set, with the Miami Marlins 14-6 giving them the series victory.

The Atlanta bats exploded to score 14 runs on 18 hits.

This win over NL East foe Miami Marlins gives the Braves their 20th win of the young 2023 season, and extends their division lead over Miami to five games.

What can we take away from the Braves 14-6 win over the Marlins?

Ozzie Albies had a monster game

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Ozzie Albies had one of his best games of the season, going 4-5 at the dish with two RBIs and two runs scored. One of Albies' four hits was his eighth home run of the season. The Braves second baseman had been in a bit of a slump of late, so a game like this will give him a massive confidence boost.

What are the timetables for Michael Harris II and Kyle Wright's injuries?

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The only negative from this ball game was Michael Harris II and Kyle Wright both going down with injuries. The team is saying Wright left with shoulder soreness, and Harris II left with a knee injury that looked pretty gruesome at first glance. Harris II was able to walk off the field, and the team said they pulled him out of precaution, but after missing time already this season, the Braves don't want to lose Harris II again. Wright's injury seems like a bigger deal than Harris', so an update there will be telling. The Braves need both of these guys on the field healthy.

Is Marcell Ozuna back?

Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Marcell Ozuna had a monster night at the plate, going 3-5 with two homers, five RBIs, and two runs scored. Braves fans have been very vocal about their frustration with Ozuna's play so far in 2023, but perhaps this game can turn it all around. Hitters in a slump often need something to go their way to get out of it, and this ball game could be just what the doctor ordered for Ozuna. Hopefully, he continues to mash and gets back to the player he was just a few years back.

The Braves hit the ball really hard tonight

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Braves hit 17 balls with an exit velocity of 100 mph or higher in this ball game. This number doesn't feel possible, but nothing is off the table for this Braves offense. Vaughn Grissom and Marcell Ozuna tied for the team lead, hitting three balls apiece harder than 100 mph. The Braves smashed six homers in this game, helping them put 14 runs on the board. If I'm a pitcher, my legs are shaking when I warm up against this Atlanta lineup.
