WATCH: Huge top of the fifth inning for the Braves vs the New York Mets

An RBI single from Acuña and a three-run bomb from Olson put the Braves on top of the Mets in the fifth.

A four-run top of the fifth inning is just what the Braves needed on a rainy night in New York.

The Braves jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning thanks to a base hit from Ronald Acuña Jr. Ronald has been on an absolute tear all season and continues to come through in the clutch moments for the Braves.

The next batter up, Matt Olson, absolutely crushed a ball into the right field seats for a three run home run. Olson started the season off really hot, but has not been as consistent at the plate in recent games.

All four runs were scored with two outs. These are huge runs for the Braves because the rain is steadily coming down in New York and there is a decent change this game will be delayed or suspended. If the Braves can get through the bottom of the fifth inning with the lead intact, they would be in line for the win if the game is called due to rain.
