WATCH: Kevin Pillar goes deep to break the scoreless tie!

The Braves left fielder took Cristian Javier deep in the 5th inning to put the first runs on the board today

Desperately trying to fend off a Houston sweep, Max Fried and the Braves have been locked in a pitcher's duel with Cristian Javier and the Houston Astros.

Kevin Pillar has, apparently, had enough.

The Braves left fielder took Javier deep to finally put some runs on the board. Here's the video:

Pillar, 34, made the team as a non-roster invitee out of spring training and has been rotating in with Eddie Rosario in left field. The eleven-year veteran is trying to get his career back on track - he was traded during his seventh year in Toronto and has played for six different teams since the trade.

Atlanta's up 1-0 after the top of the 6th. Max Fried has gone six scoreless innings with three hits, one walk, and three strikeouts. Cristian Javier for Houston has gone five innings with three hits, one run, and ten strikeouts.
