WATCH: Ronald Acuña Jr ends the shutout with a bomb off of Sandy Alcantara
Ronald Acuña Jr is the best player in baseball.
Opening the sixth inning against last year's NL Cy Young Award winner, Sandy Alcantara, he proved it.
Acuña took the first pitch he saw in the 6th deep to center field to put the Braves on the board and start the comeback.
Here's the video:
The Braves went on to load the bases, knocking Alcantara out of the game. He was cruising through the first five innings, allowing only three hits and one walk, but the Braves drew a 2nd hit and two walks out of Sandy to load the bases with two outs in the 6th and send the Marlins into the bullpen. Vaughn Grissom put a base hit to left field and drove in one run, with Eddie Rosario being thrown out at home to end the inning and keep the Marlins lead at two runs, 4-2.
Atlanta finishes the series tomorrow at 12:20 ET, broadcast on Bally Sports South. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
