WATCH: Travis d'Arnaud launches a first inning home run to stake Atlanta to a four run lead in Cincinnati

Atlanta takes a five run lead before Cincinnati even comes up to bat

These Braves are the best team in baseball at first inning runs.

Just ask Reds starter Luke Weaver.

He gave up three straight singles to give Atlanta a one run lead, and then Travis d'Arnaud decided that wasn't an efficient enough way to score runs.

He launched a 95 mph fastball 386 feet, which is enough to be a few rows up in Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park - or Great American "Small" Park, as some say, scoring Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley to give Atlanta a four run lead.

Atlanta followed the homer with yet another run, as Eddie Rosario worked a walk, advanced to a 2nd on a passed ball, and scored on a double to the gap by Orlando Arcia.

The Braves batted around in the 1st inning, with Michael Harris II finally grounding out after Reds starter Luke Weaver threw forty-three pitches and gave up five hits and five runs, with one walk and one strikeout.

AJ Smith-Shawver takes the mound in the bottom of the 1st for Atlanta.

Atlanta's looking to keep the win streak alive, while putting an end to Cincinnati's winning streak. First pitch from Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati is set for 6:40 PM ET. The game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports Southeast and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
