The Cleveland Guardians were faced with a difficult task on Tuesday evening. A runner from the Oakland Athletics' dugout jogged out to second base as the game had reached extra innings.

A free runner in scoring position and no outs is a hard situation to fend off. However, Enyel De Los Santos pitched a clean 10th inning, left the game tied at two, and set up a Guardians win.

This display from the bullpen is nothing new for the Guardians. Cleveland has had numerous injuries and attention on their starting rotation that the relievers may have slipped by some people.

The Guardians currently own the second-lowest reliever ERA in all of baseball. Their 2.98 team reliever ERA is the second-best, right behind the New York Yankees' ERA of 2.94. The Guardians are in fact leading MLB in WHIP with a 1.18.

Cleveland is also tied for the fourth most saves in baseball with 24. This is mainly thanks to Emmanuel Clase who has a league-leading 21 all by himself.

Having trust that you can turn a game over to your bullpen, even in a one-run game is a huge advantage.

After De Los Santos put the game on ice on Tuesday night, he gave credit to have trust in his defense. Yes, this is true, but the pitchers also need to execute their pitches efficiently and they're doing that right now.

Eli Morgan (1.84 ERA), Trevor Stephan (2.37 ERA), Xzavion Curry (2.92 ERA), and Nick Sandlin (3.20 ERA) are other relievers who deserve credit for how they've pitched.

No bullpen is going to be perfect, but the Guardians have been able to put together a group they can trust and help them win games.
