Will Brennan Ready To Be More Than Just A Bench Piece For The Guardians

Will Brennan has had a fantastic Spring Training for the Cleveland Guardians.
In this story:

There's been a number of players who have put together impressive Spring resumes for the Cleveland Guardians. But no player has been playing as well as Will Brennan has.

Brennan is quickly becoming a fan favorite and the regular season hasn't even started yet. Silly Willy was a part of September call-ups at the end of the 2022 season and made his way onto the Guardians' playoff roster. He didn't get a tone of playing time, but when he did get in the game he made an impact.

Now, heading into 2023, Brennan is looking to be a key piece on Cleveland's bench and maybe even work himself into the starting lineup on a consistent basis.

His Spring Training performances are showing that he's ready to do just that.

Brennan has played in eight games accumulating 20 at-bats so far this Spring. Over those appearances, he's slashing .300/.348/.500 with four doubles and three RBI.

He's doing all of this against true MLB talent too. On Friday afternoon the Guardians saw Brandon Woodruff on the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers. The former All-Star tore up the Cleveland lineup, outside of Brennan.

Cleveland's left fielder went 2-for-3 three including an RBI single, a double, and a stolen base.

The Guardians see the potential that Brennan has too and how he could make a big impact in their lineup. They're consistently putting him at the third or fourth spot in the lineup so he can get an opportunity to bat in the heart of the order.

Will Brennan made not be the biggest name on the Guardians, but that could change by the end of the season.
