Buck Showalter Ejected For First Time As Mets Manager
He's outta here.
On Tuesday night, Buck Showalter was ejected for the first time since becoming manager of the Mets.
Showalter got thrown out for arguing with the umpiring crew over a play, where it appeared that the runner interfered with a ball in play.
Will Myers of the Cincinnati Reds seemingly slapped a ground ball out of Francisco Lindor's glove while sliding into second base. But the umpires said otherwise, thus rewarding the Reds with first and second and nobody out.
This infuriated Showalter, who went out to give the umpires his two cents. As a result, the skipper was tossed for the first time since being hired by the Mets.

Showalter was almost thrown out two days prior on May 7 for arguing a call with an umpire.
Bench coach Eric Chavez took over managerial duties after Showalter was thrown out. Catching instructor Glenn Sherlock slid into Chavez's role as bench coach.
The Mets are currently trailing the Reds, 7-6.
