The Mets have made some cuts in big-league camp.

Following their 10-7 loss to the Washington Nationals in Grapefruit League play on Saturday night, the Mets reassigned six players to minor league camp.

Among this list of cuts included top prospects, catcher Kevin Parada and center fielder Alex Ramirez. Pitchers Connor Grey, Grant Hartwig, Eric Orze and Josh Walker were also reassigned.

The Mets invited 15 players to major league camp and after cutting six of them, nine remain.

New York got a decent look at Ramirez, their No. 4 ranked prospect, this spring. Ramirez went 4-for-17 with one walk, three runs scored and an RBI. He also struck out seven times and was caught stealing. Ramirez is expected to begin the season with High-A Brooklyn.

As for Parada, who the Mets selected No. 11 overall in the 2022 MLB Draft, he accumulated less playing time in big-league camp. In just six at-bats, Parada, the Mets' No. 3 ranked prospect, picked up one hit, scored a run, walked once and struck out twice. He is expected to begin the season with Low-A Port St. Lucie.
