The San Diego Padres welcomed their division-rival Dodgers into Petco Park on Friday only to beat them 5-2 and take home the first win of their weekend series. Everybody was hyped to see how Clayton Kershaw, the NL Pitcher of the Month for April, would perform against the Friars' top four batters.

Kershaw hadn't faced off against Fernando Tatis Jr. in about 25 weeks due to his injury and suspension complications and El Niño made sure to give him a nice reminder that he's back.

However, even though the Padres' win was huge, many fans from both sides shifted their attention to a certain stunt pulled by Petco Park workers after the game.

With the majority of guests still in attendance and in their seats, an image of Kershaw crying was flashed on the Jumbotron a multitude of times. The future hall-of-famer had one of his worst outings all season as he gave up eight hits with four runs and got pulled before the fifth inning concluded.

And Petco Park made sure he felt their laughs.

Dodgers fans have not been too happy with the Padres' community doing this and being okay with it. They have been internet warriors all day long as they remind San Diego who has had a longer history of success and that the Friars should act like they belong in the winning conversations.

However, Kershaw himself was asked how he felt about the crying image being displayed for everybody to see and he simply stated that he needs to play better to avoid it.

Clayton Kershaw said someone did show him the scoreboard meme the Padres flashed of him at the end of last night’s game

He didn’t have much of a reaction: “If you don’t like it, pitch better.”

There you have it folks... the man himself has spoken. It is all a part of the game.
