Was anyone else ready for August to end? 

It was certainly an eventful month, and the Padres can't be happy with where they sit as the final full month of regular season baseball begins.

August saw the Padres refuse to sell at the trade deadline, instead holding on to valuable soon-to-be free agents as they preceded to go 10-18 on the month, virtually sinking their playoff hopes. The Friars currently have a 0.5% to make the playoffs according to FanGraphs.
