CINCINNATI — Trade talks for Reds infielder Jonathan India are heating up according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

Cincinnati is "discussing trade possibilities" with three or four different teams and talks are "active" according to the report.

India, 26, posted a .244 batting average last season with 17 home runs and 61 RBI in 119 games.

The Reds have a plethora of young infielders, including Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain, Christian Encarnacion-Strand, Noelvi Marte, and Spencer Steer.

"Reds are discussing Jonathan India trade possibilities with 3 or 4 teams," Morosi tweeted. "Talks are described as active. The dialogue has progressed this week but no deal is close as of this hour."

Trading India could make some sense, especially in the right deal. Cincinnati could use more pitching help, both in the bullpen and in their starting rotation.
