Heat vs. 76ers Prediction for Today, 2/14
Unfortunately for all basketball fans, not just Philly fans, this isn’t exactly the premier matchup you’d expect when these teams meet. Sixers fans are well aware of Joel Embiid’s injury situation, Nic Batum and De’Anthony Melton have also been out and even Tobias Harris missed their last game.
As if that wasn’t enough, Miami’s trade acquisition - Terry Rozier - is now week-to-week with his recent injury, and to top it all off, superstar Jimmy Butler is also away from the team for personal reasons. With all that going on, it’s difficult for us to expect a high-scoring game. So much talent is missing from the court, and these are already two strong defensive teams.
Miami has allowed the fourth-fewest points per game this season, and although their recent matchup was a loss, holding the NBA-best Boston Celtics to 110 points is still a solid performance. Philly also just snapped the Cleveland Cavaliers nine-game winning streak, so confidence should be high there as well.
With so many missing pieces, our best Heat vs. 76ers prediction is under 223.5 points (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Heat vs. 76ers Player Props & Free Picks Featuring Tyrese Maxey & Bam Adebayo
It can certainly be difficult to trust either side as a whole given the lineups that we’re going to see, so we also have Heat vs. 76ers player props for you. Starting with Philly, we’re going to be taking an approach that we haven’t taken all season.
In fact, it’s the polar opposite of what has been very profitable for us - we’re going to fade Tyrese Maxey. He’s been keeping the team together through this rough stretch, but the Miami defense is simply not a good matchup for him. Maxey has also been on a bit of a cold stretch. In his last four games, he’s scored just 12, 15, 28 and 22 points.
That 28-point game came against the NBA-worst Washington Wizards defense, so take that with a grain of salt. Furthermore, Maxey had just 12 points when these teams met on Christmas Day. So, surprisingly enough, we’re going with Tyrese Maxey under 27.5 points (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook.
As for Miami, their strong defense is led by Bam Adebayo. The big man is one of the few stars left on the court for this game, and without Embiid in his way, we expect him to control the paint. Remember, Philly is also without Nic Batum and perhaps Tobias Harris to impede him as well. Even still, Adebayo is a rebound monster no matter what.
The Miami center just pulled down 13 boards against an incredible Celtics team, so a banged up Sixers squad will likely mean a similar performance. After all, in the aforementioned Christmas Day game, he had 15 rebounds against Philly. So, we’re adding to our Heat vs. 76ers player props with Bam Adebayo over 11.5 rebounds (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook.

That also means that for our Heat vs. 76ers player props, a $110 bet on Tyrese Maxey profits $100 as long as he scores 27 points or fewer, while a $110 bet on Bam Adebayo profits $100 as long as he pulls down at least 12 rebounds.
